The ANYCUBIC Kobra S1 ACE 2 Pro Combo is an advanced FDM 3D printer featuring a closed CoreXY design, a 250 × 250 × 250 mm build volume, and the ACE 2 Pro multicolor printing system. The device achieves print speeds of up to 600 mm/s with a maximum acceleration of 20,000 mm/s², and thanks to a hotend capable of temperatures up to 320°C and a heated bed up to 120°C, it supports a wide range of filaments, including PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, and TPU. The ACE 2 Pro module enables 4-color printing with the option to expand the system to 16 colors, and additionally functions as an active filament dryer with a temperature of up to 65°C. LeviQ 3.0 automatic leveling, intelligent print monitoring, remote control via the app, and quiet operation make the device ideal for both home workshops and professional design environments.
Multicolor printing with the ACE 2 Pro module
The included ACE 2 Pro module enables automatic four-color printing without the need for manual filament changes. This solution significantly simplifies the creation of more advanced projects, decorative models, figurines, or prototypes requiring the use of different material colors. The system can be expanded to support up to 16 colors by using additional ACE 2 Pro modules. However, it is important to note that simultaneous operation of first- and second-generation multicolor systems is not currently supported, so older Anycubic solutions cannot be combined with the new multicolor platform.
Stable CoreXY design and high print quality
The enclosed CoreXY design is engineered to maintain high precision even during very high-speed printing. The rigid frame minimizes vibrations, resulting in more accurate detail reproduction and a smoother surface finish on models. The enclosed build chamber helps maintain stable temperature conditions when working with more demanding materials, such as ABS or ASA. As a result, prints are less prone to warping, and the printing process is more predictable.
Performance Designed for Rapid Prototyping
The ANYCUBIC Kobra S1 is equipped with a high-performance drive system capable of achieving print speeds of up to 600 mm/s and accelerations of up to 20,000 mm/s². These parameters allow for a significant reduction in project turnaround time without compromising on build quality. The recommended operating speed is 300 mm/s, which ensures an optimal balance between speed and precision. This is particularly important for users who regularly produce prototypes, functional models, or short production runs.
Compatibility with popular filaments
The printer is compatible with many materials used in FDM technology, including PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, and TPU. This allows you to match the filament to the requirements of a specific project—from decorative models to technical parts designed for use in demanding conditions. A hotend reaching 320°C and a heated bed up to 120°C ensure the right working conditions for a wide range of materials. However, please note that due to its flexibility, TPU filament must be fed directly into the printer and is not compatible with the ACE 2 Pro module during automatic multicolor printing.
Filament Drying and Humidity Control
The ACE 2 Pro module also functions as a smart filament dryer. The system allows the material to be dried at temperatures up to 65°C even during printing, which helps minimize issues caused by moisture in the material. Built-in temperature and humidity sensors monitor conditions inside the chamber in real time. Additionally, an active moisture removal system helps maintain proper filament storage conditions, resulting in more consistent results.
Smart printing assistance features
The Kobra S1 ACE 2 Pro Combo is equipped with LeviQ 3.0 automatic leveling, which eliminates the need for manual calibration of the build plate. The resonance compensation system uses a built-in accelerometer to reduce vibrations that affect the surface quality of models. The material flow correction feature allows for more precise control of extrusion, reducing excess material in corners and improving the dimensional accuracy of prints. These solutions help achieve better results with fewer manual adjustments.
Monitoring and Operational Safety
The printer offers a range of features that enhance safety and control over the printing process. The AI Monitoring system can detect anomalies such as the formation of so-called “spaghetti,” or uncontrolled material buildup during printing. The device also supports foreign object detection in the work area, drive belt tension monitoring, and automatic resume after a power outage. This allows the user to respond more quickly to potential problems and reduce the risk of failed prints.
User Comfort and Remote Control
The manufacturer has also prioritized the convenience of daily use. An intuitive 4.3-inch touchscreen simplifies operation, and the Anycubic App allows you to remotely start prints, monitor their progress, and view time-lapse recordings of the model-building process. The Anycubic Slicer Next software, based on the Orca Slicer platform, allows for convenient project preparation and the use of modern model slicing algorithms. Thanks to Wi-Fi connectivity, the printer can also be managed via a local network.
Quiet operation and durable components
Despite its high performance, the device maintains a low noise level. In Quiet mode, it generates noise at approximately 44 dB, while in Standard mode, approximately 46 dB. When using the active filament drying function in the ACE 2 Pro module, the noise level may increase to approximately 55 dB, which is due to the operation of additional components responsible for drying the material. The use of brushless motors with a lifespan exceeding 5,000 hours supports long-term and stable operation of the device.
Dimensions and weight
Before purchasing, it is worth considering the space needed for comfortable installation of the kit. The printer itself measures 400 × 410 × 490 mm and weighs approximately 18 kg. The ACE 2 Pro module measures 368 × 291.5 × 236.5 mm and weighs approximately 3.7 kg. Once set up, the entire kit occupies a workspace of approximately 420 × 530 × 710 mm, which is worth considering when planning your workstation.
