RIPPER 1/18 set 2,4GHz, Blue

The RGT Ripper (18800) is a high-performance, 1/18 scale "rock crawler" expedition special, delivered in a Ready-To-Run (RTR) configuration. The model was developed with a focus on a low center of gravity (LCG) and maximum terrain clearance. The chassis is built around a specifically shaped "skid-style" frame with a 5° skid plate angle, ensuring smooth gliding over edges and obstacles.

The chassis utilizes a V-type 8-link suspension system and a low-mounted two-speed gearbox. Weight distribution is optimized at approximately 60% front and 40% rear, significantly increasing rollover resistance during steep climbs. The use of portal axles with integrated gear reduction at the wheels increases ground clearance while simultaneously reducing mechanical stress on the central drivetrain.

Power is provided by the Hobbywing WP-MINI24-RTR brushless system. The motor is characterized by high low-end torque, smooth operation, and quiet performance. The Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) allows for 8-level drag brake adjustment and features low-voltage battery protection, overheating protection, and signal loss protection. The system is fully compatible with 2S and 3S LiPo batteries.

Mechanical components are engineered for high durability. The drivetrain consists entirely of metal gears and #45 hardened steel shafts. Suspension is handled by oil-filled shocks with extra-soft springs. The model achieves approach/departure angles exceeding 90° and a breakover angle of over 50°, making it a highly effective tool for technical rock crawling.
